Therapy that's structured, collaborative and genuinely kind.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), providing evidence-based psychological care across the lifespan.
I work with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties. I also support adolescents with identity, self-esteem, and academic challenges, and work with parents using evidence-based strategies to strengthen parent–child relationships, improve communication, and manage behavioral and emotional difficulties.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am a psychology instructor at AUB, integrating the latest psychological research into compassionate, evidence-based care.
Care shaped around who you are.
Every age — and every organisation — meets the world differently. Each path below is built around what that stage of life, or that team, actually needs.
Teens & adolescents
Adults
Parents
Corporate & businesses
NGOs & training
A clear path from first hello to lasting change.
No mystery, no jargon. Here's exactly how the first sessions tend to unfold — choose a path to see it.
Assessment
A comprehensive first session to understand your concerns, history and how you're functioning right now.
Session 1Psychoeducation
We walk through the therapeutic model, your formulation and what the diagnosis means — in plain language.
Session 2Treatment plan starts
Clear, collaborative goals delivered through CBT & DBT — reviewed and adjusted for as many sessions as your progress needs.
Session 3+ · ongoingParents first
We begin with you to gather developmental history and understand what's bringing your child in.
Session 1Meeting your child
A gentle session with your child, paced to their comfort and built around play and trust.
Session 2Feedback & treatment plan starts
Back with parents for feedback and psychoeducation, then therapy begins — an ongoing plan reviewed together as your child progresses.
Session 3+ · ongoingStraight to the teen
Therapy begins directly with your teenager so trust is theirs from the very first session.
Session 1Confidential case formulation
We map out what's going on and share the formulation with your teen. Sessions stay private — parents are contacted only in an emergency or when there's a risk to their safety or someone else's.
Session 2Treatment plan starts
Goals set with your teen and worked through with CBT & DBT, continuing for as many sessions as their progress needs.
Session 3+ · ongoingTherapy continues from there. These are the opening sessions, not the whole course — from session three onward we work through the treatment plan for as long as your goals need, reviewing progress together as we go.
Bring what's heavy. We'll make sense of it together.
A snapshot of the concerns I work with most — and the principles that guide how we'll work on them.
Collaborative
You're the expert on your life. We set goals together and check in on what's working.
Structured
Evidence-based CBT & DBT gives every session a clear purpose and direction.
Compassionate
Warmth and zero judgement — therapy should feel safe before it feels like work.
Confidentiality comes first. Everything shared in session stays protected by professional ethics. For teens, parents are only ever contacted if there's a real safety concern.
Trained deeply, so the room is never improvised.

Straight answers on fees, confidentiality, how sessions run, and what happens first.
Where is Angela Barhouch's practice located?
The practice is at FortyFour Tower in Dekwaneh, in the Matn district just north of Beirut, Lebanon. Sessions are available in person there, or online by secure video anywhere in Lebanon and abroad.
Do you offer a free consultation or intro call?
Questions before booking are welcome on WhatsApp. Message Angela with who the session is for and what's going on, and she'll answer what you need to know, explain how she works, and confirm the fee — at no cost. Rather than a separate intro call, therapy itself begins with a full first session, a complete clinical assessment, so the work starts from the very first hour.
How do I book a therapy session?
Booking happens on WhatsApp, directly with Angela rather than through a receptionist or an online scheduler. Message her with who the session is for and what's going on, and she'll suggest times, confirm the fee, and send the address or video link.
Who does Angela work with?
Children (roughly ages 4–12), teenagers and adolescents (13–18), adults, and parents. She also delivers training and workshops for schools, NGOs, and companies, and provides clinical supervision for practitioners.
What is CBT and DBT?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that works on the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) builds practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and relationships. Angela has specialized training in both.
What does Angela treat?
ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions, anxiety disorders, depression and mood difficulties, trauma, emotional dysregulation, personality disorders, low self-esteem, identity development, academic stress, and interpersonal difficulties.
How many therapy sessions will I need?
Session 1 is a full assessment and session 2 covers psychoeducation and case formulation. From session 3 onward the treatment plan begins and therapy continues for as long as your goals need, reviewed together as you progress.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything shared in session is protected by professional ethical standards. For teenagers, sessions are confidential by design and parents are contacted only in an emergency, or when there is a risk to the teenager's safety or someone else's.
Do you offer therapy in Arabic?
Yes. Angela Barhouch works in Arabic and English, and sessions can be held in whichever of the two you are most comfortable thinking and feeling in. You can also move between the two within a session.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The practice is closed on Saturday and Sunday. WhatsApp messages sent outside those hours are answered when the practice reopens.
Do you offer online therapy in Lebanon?
Yes. Sessions are available by secure video for clients anywhere in Lebanon and internationally, with the same structure as in-person therapy at the Dekwaneh practice.
Do you provide training for organisations?
Yes. Angela delivers CBT-informed workshops for schools and NGOs, wellbeing and burnout sessions for corporate teams, and clinical supervision and CBT skills training for psychologists and therapists. Training enquiries start on the same WhatsApp chat as therapy bookings.

One message is all it takes to start.
Booking happens on WhatsApp, directly with Angela — no forms, no waiting room. We begin with a full first session, so the work starts from the very first hour.
